The next generation
Engineering Change.
Located at South River High School in Edgewater, MD, we are the only team in the mid-Atlantic area in recent years to have built a full-size solar-powered car made to enter the U.S. Solar Car Challenge, an annual competition held in Ft. Worth, Texas. This competition is held once a year, and solar car teams from across the country meet in order to compete and show the effectiveness of their cars.
With the incredible young minds of our members, we are able to showcase and create new technology, as well as learn about green energy and engineering. We hope to show the world that change isn’t inevitable, but is something that we must always strive for. We exemplify this aim for change by empowering young people and giving them the tools they need to build what they envision the technology of the future to be.

The movement to switch green energy is a common topic of conversation in politics, in economics, and even at home or at work. Through our organization’s work, we hope to show that switching to green energy is not a setback for humanity, but a new chapter that will incite new innovations and change the world.
